1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“the Client”) and The Picnic Nook (“we”, “us”, “our”). By submitting a booking enquiry, making a payment, or using any part of our services, you accept these terms in full.
2. Our Services
The Picnic Nook provides luxury outdoor experience services including, but not limited to:
- Romantic and anniversary picnic setups
- Birthday and celebration picnic packages
- Luxury bell tent and glamping experiences
- Geodesic dome overnight stays
- Corporate outdoor team events
- Bespoke proposal packages
All services are subject to availability, suitable weather conditions, and location accessibility. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
3. Booking and Payment
All bookings are provisional until confirmed in writing by us. A non-refundable deposit (amount specified at time of booking) is required to secure your date. Full payment is due no later than 7 days before your event unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment by bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other methods as specified at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change without notice; any price change will not affect a confirmed booking.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand that plans sometimes change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 14 days before the event: Full refund of any amounts paid beyond the non-refundable deposit.
- 7–14 days before the event: 50% refund of the total amount paid (excluding the deposit).
- Less than 7 days before the event: No refund. At our discretion, we may offer a credit note valid for 12 months.
- Cancellation by The Picnic Nook: In the unlikely event that we must cancel due to circumstances within our control, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. Verbal or social media cancellations will not be accepted.
5. Rescheduling
One complimentary rescheduling is permitted if requested more than 14 days before the event, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests within 14 days of the event may incur an administration fee. Rescheduling is not available as a substitute for a refund.
6. Weather and Force Majeure
Outdoor events are inherently subject to weather conditions. In the event of severe weather that makes service delivery unsafe or impossible, we will work with you to reschedule at no additional cost. We are not liable for events, delays, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or acts of God.
7. Client Responsibilities
By booking with us, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your event requirements and location
- Ensure the chosen venue is accessible, legally permitted for the type of event, and safe for our team and equipment
- Treat all equipment, furnishings, and decorations with care during your event
- Ensure your guests behave in a respectful and lawful manner
- Accept financial responsibility for any damage to our equipment or property caused by you or your guests beyond normal wear and tear
8. Liability
The Picnic Nook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including loss of enjoyment or opportunity. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not responsible for personal injury, illness, or property damage that occurs during an event unless directly caused by our proven negligence.
9. Photography and Social Media
We may photograph our event setups for portfolio, marketing, and social media purposes. By booking with us, you grant us the right to use images of the setup (not of identifiable individuals without separate consent) on our website and social media channels. If you wish to opt out, please notify us in writing at least 7 days before your event.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, designs, and concepts — is the intellectual property of The Picnic Nook and is protected under applicable copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any of our content without prior written permission.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Picnic Nook is registered and operates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed from these terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
